I wouldn't. If you already have usenet access through your isp I'd check some of the free nzb sites like www.merlins-portal.net. Torrents are peer to peer so you download speed depends on the speed of the users you are sharing with, usenet comes straight off the server. I have a 6 mb dsl and access to giganews, that alows me to download a 700 mb xvid movie in about 15 minutes.

You're going to get alll sorts of people saying use FIREFOX. it's a better browser to begin with. I know you probably don't like change, but it's for the better. It's a more secure browser and has better pop up control in it too. Also, try downloading Advanced Windows Care from iobit.com It'll help you optimize your Firefox browser so it's even faster than before

I would suspect a virus first, and i would also suggest never using Internet explorer, it is junk and very vulnerable, keep using firefox. Here is a link to check for viruses.

Reply:You have to scan your computer through any anitvirus first then the problem with internet explorer reinstall it again but i would recommend you to use firefox rather than explorer, microsoft always have some kind of problem with explorer they probably didnt have the script written right or something wrong with the server.

I have a problem getting the stumbleupon button to show up on firefox. (pictures)?

The "stumbleupon" button that was always there disappeared all of the sudden I think someone got on my computer and accidently did something. In iPhoto- highlight which pictures you want to export, then on the menu click "File" then "Export"... another box will pop up where you click "Facebook" then Login and you can tag and make comments... then you export them, sign into Facebook and you will have a "pending album"... then you can approve the photos...





Flair and Bumper Stickers and others are all Applications- you can add them by clicking on other people's that you want then it will redirect you to a page with an option to add that application...

It is really simple all you have to do is search Google and you will find numerous websites with tools to customize your layout or you can use some that someone else already created. Then all you do is copy the code they gave you into your profile, save changes and your done! All thats left is to wait for your freinds to be jealous. ;)

okay so i made a video in windows movie maker. tried transferring it to youtube came up as error message (please change to .WMV format. so i changed it to windows media player and i did it correctly. however, when it transferred to wmv it did not transfer totally like it misses parts of the video (kind of a fast pace video with different beats played over and over in different forms) so how can i fix this problem? i want this to be a clear video and have it on youtube. thorough explanation is gladly accepted! thanks to all! 10 pts best answer!

It's an overlay.





You'll have to get a black overlay (DIV) layout and cover everything (hide everything). Besides the about me of course. She obviosuly made it herself. It's quite easy. Just hide everything. I mean even the orange bars in the about me that says "Blurbs". EVERYTHING. Well I'm good with HTML so it's easy. You'll eventually figure it out. Go around to layout sites and ask though.





Well once you have that. Just put a picture in it, then a simple comment box. With links like she did. Common

If you want to see the featured videos, just click on the Videos tab near the top of the page and under where it says "All - Most viewed today" look for "Featured" and click on it.





If you want to see your subscriptions, put your cursor over "Account" (Next to "Quicklist") then a little list thing will appear. Just click on "Subscriptions" and your subscriptions should appear.





I'm pretty sure that the problem will be fixed eventually. ^^

Meaning, I can see what someone wrote on my friend Mike's wall, but not what he wrote in response.

It's not your friend's setting, it's the other friend in the wall-to-wall...





For example, I can read my friend Amy's wall, but if Miranda wrote on it and Miranda and I aren't friends and her profile is set to private, then I can't read the wall-to-wall...





Easiest fix, add anyone that you want to read in a wall-to-wall...otherwise, you're just s.o.l.

It depends on what network you belong to, and what network the other person belongs to... Example: If you're in the Washington DC Network, then you can't view wall-to-wall posts from someone in Kentucky's network, even though one person is your friend. Does that make sence? Idk it's hard to explain.

Reply:First of all are you friends with this other person if not, that is the way that person set there settings.


If you are it just my be a limited profile view meaning that just set certains people to not see some of the information on your profile. How you do it well first click on privacy then profile then click on the arrow for each appl photos, walls, contact inf etc. make sure you click on customize, when you click on that, a box pops out and you choose the options, you can even type in a friends name so they can't see it.

If this is so then you will need to do a few things:


1: Copy the youtube video to your computer http://pine.kuso.cc/youtube/


2: Convert the video to .avi file format http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html


3: copy the file to a cd or dvd, and play it in your dvd player.





If you do not have a DivX dvd player, then you will have to burn the converted YouTube file to a dvd(this will me really bad quality), or a S-Video CD.





Either way, Download the Video, Convert it to AVI or MPEG and go from there depending on the type of DVD player you have.

To grab the video use Orbit. It is free and easy to use. It will download the video in FLV(flash video format) which can be readily replayed on your computer.


To watch it on a dvd player you will have to convert the FLV file to avi and then to VOB. For this I use SuperDvdCreator. It does cost about $30., but there are also many free utilities out there that will also do a fine job. Just google "dvd authoring"

I recently wrote in a blog of mine a guide on how to download youtube videos. My blog is hosted by Blogger, which is owned by Google. Youtube is also owned by Google.





If I add AdSense to my blog (or possibly even if I don't since Blogger itself is Google property), is it possible that Google will take away my blog and/or my Adsense account. What are the chances of this happening?

Reply:embed codes are for 'embedding' or sharing your videos on places like myspace or other sites that allows posting of videos. You have a choice whether you want to have it or not (you can choose not to allow emdedding and sharing of your vids on the Step 1 of Video Upload under Sharing Options) that's all really. If you want to be able to embed it around other sites, then leave it. You won't have to do anything about it because the embed codes will just appear.

How can I get my account back from AOL after being TOSed?

My account was TOSed for chatroom conduct (although I can't find out exactly what caused this) and now my account is frozen and cannot be used. Is there any way to reverse this? I've contacted AOL tirelessly but none of their employees seem to know what to do. One endeavor led me to write a letter to someone, which has led to no avail yet. This has been going on for a few days or a week.

I think you should move on. Sever your dependency on chat rooms and get out into the real world with face-to-face interactions.

Reply:I had AOL a few years back so I don't know if it's still the same. I remember when I got a TOS once, I would just wait and eventually, I could use it again. Another time, I just called customer service and they re-activated my account. If they ask you if you said something inappropriate that violated the TOS, just tell them it wasn't you. Just say, it must've been one of your friends or make up a BS excuse. Usually, you call them and they can take care of it, no problem. That was over five years ago so it might not be the same now. Good luck.

Yes the proxy may be preventing scripts from running, while you are at it check your firewall as well.

Well i know most value for money wireless deals are contracts which I'm annoyed about because I want freedom as I dont want to be tied down but if I have to be then I would really like a reliable internet service which is for melbourne Australia area. I dont want to spend more than $60month.

if you have a desktop i would go with cable internet. after the 3 months of the low cost it will run you about $50-$60 a month. then if you have laptop i would either go with one of the wireless cards(att or verizon). if you dont want those cards go with the cable internet and just use the wifi thats on most laptops(note: for this to work you will need to purchase a wireless router (about $30 - $45)

GIF animation is what your referring to (Graphical Interface Format). It's basically a series of pictures in a sequence of events, to make it look like a movie, all you would do is arrange the series of pictures in a close time lapse like maybe 1 fps. ( 1 frame (picture) a second). To accomplish this you would use a GIF animator, which may end up costing you some money.

2:) go to http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/ and download a small .exe (go to the plug in forum) called unfreeze.





To make a small movie .GIF, all you do is take the series of pictures, and apply them to the small unfreeze program. (make sure u apply them in order)





If your trying to convert a movie to a .GIF, go to windows movie maker and take a screen capture of every second of what you want to GIF animate. Screen capture every part of the movie you want to animate, remember to capture every second of what you want to animate.(when you save the file (picture) , save it in a number sequence so you remember what picture goes where, IE, pic 1, pic 2, pic 3, (do it in the order you want to animate) ).





alright open up paint.net and edit the pictures down, a lot, if the picture is big and your making a .gif with a lot of them, the .gif will be enormous in file size, in myspace, the default picture size is 170X126 (pixels), to edit this in paint.net (PDN) just go to file%26gt;new and make the pixel size 170X126. ( or go to IMAGE%26gt; RESIZE) alright after you have the sequence of pictures you want to animate, (make sure there all the same pixel size!!!)


Apply them to the unfreeze.exe and click "make animated GIF" it has options for loop (to replay itself) , and fps. just screw around with it and make several variations of the .GIF to do what you want.








On myspace- all you do is upload the .gif (make sure its under 5mb (if its over 1mb its wayyyy hugge) ). And make it your default picture. ( if thats what you want it to be)

You can upload the photo to photobucket.com or some other image hosting site and paste the image(GIF) link on a comment or message or wherever html, java scripting is allowed.

What do I do if IE refuses to prompt for passwords on sites that use them?

My favorite browser is IE6. However, when I go to sites which pop up a box to prompt for the password, I don't get it when using IE. It comes up fine in Firefox. It used to be able to do this. Maybe some tweak I did or my upgrade to SP3 in XP has something to do with this.





My guess is that maybe something is going on with javascript or CGI handling or something. The box from the script does not appear, it simply acts as though I hit cancel.
