My favorite browser is IE6. However, when I go to sites which pop up a box to prompt for the password, I don't get it when using IE. It comes up fine in Firefox. It used to be able to do this. Maybe some tweak I did or my upgrade to SP3 in XP has something to do with this.
My guess is that maybe something is going on with javascript or CGI handling or something. The box from the script does not appear, it simply acts as though I hit cancel.
What do I do if IE refuses to prompt for passwords on sites that use them?

firefox have in build password saver addon
and IE have but as in build part
