How is firefox safer to use?

I know that its another browser, but what exactly makes it safer to use than just google or msn?
How is firefox safer to use?
its is not another browser it is another thing like internet explorer it is safer because less people use it
How is firefox safer to use?
It%26#039;s beacuase hackers and spammers have written codes that specifically attack IE and how it functions when you download stuff or visit bad websites. Firefox fucntions differently so it%26#039;s less prone to bad stuff.
Reply:Google and MSN are not browsers. It is safer because of the features they add to stop things from being hijacked. It uses the standards set forth for HTML/HTTP, so it being less used is not the reason for it being safer. Internet Explorer 8 will in fact be matching the specifications it was supposed to adhere to for years, but didn%26#039;t. On top of this, it is open source, which means anyone can check the code for problems. There are volunteers from all over the world checking this all the time to make sure it meets the top standards, and fixes are issued much faster than Internet Explorer. If you see their site, you will be able to see things more in depth, if you don%26#039;t understand them, which being that you are asking this, I have a feeling you don%26#039;t, just realize it is safer, and proven faster to boot.
Reply:I use it mainly for browsing, in addition to MS explorer and found its more safer even I do not receive more spams as before using it.
