Same with me. It NEVER went through. I would call the companies I applied for and they never received anything. Usually places don%26#039;t even like the website because they want you to go in and ask for an application the old fashioned way and introduce yourself. When I applied for my job at the store the manager said he though the website was the %26quot;lazy%26quot; way of applying. Good luck with your job hunting though!!

It takes a lot of processing power to run so anyone on dial-up would almost certainly lose the will to live waiting for it to run. However, on our Tiscali Broadband 1MB Broadband it runs no problem at all although it is as I said a memory hungry programme. As such it is not something you can toy with while browsing the net, doing your homework or playing games, not on my 256mb machine anyway as it tends to slow itself and other programmes to a virtual standstill. Saying that the recommended requirements are 512mb+ so perhaps it is more feasible on a more powerful machine.

Those of us with even the most fundamental knowledge of geography should be able to happily negotiate the continents. However, Google Earth is no ordinary Atlas-style depiction. We are able to rotate, zoom and tilt our Earth to our hearts content. This allows me to further examine continents, countries, cities and even individual hamlets at my leisure. Feeling like some sort of God but longing to see some specific sites (after all my Geography is not good enough to find the Grand Canyon all by myself!) I am able to type in the majority of cities and countries into the %26quot;fly to%26quot; search bar to the left of my globe and it zooms magically to my destination in all its glory. As a working example I typed in Disneyland, Florida as we went their on holiday last year. Within seconds it was located, zoomed in on and rendered in all its glory before my very eyes. Likewise I can type my postcode and of it zooms right over to my house! Feels it bit spooky in a %26quot;they are watching us alien abductiom%26quot; type way but fascinating nonetheless. A local search option also allows me to search for local schools, restaurants and various other things. For the sight seers among you Google has pre-installed some areas of interest so you can zoom along the floor of the aforementioned Grand Canyon, see the Eiffel Tower or Sydney Opera House.

As such Google Earth is not quite a complete programme and although the USA and United Kingdom are given great coverage in terms of landscapes and landmarks (zoom in on Cape Canaveral) other less developed areas are not as extensively mapped and pictures can be blurry. Particularly, disappointing is the poor coverage of The Great Wall of China which after all is the largest existing man-made structure. If it had been in America it would have been in Technicolor. There can also be the odd dodgy satellite picture too were cloud coverage obscures some buildings. Neither are they complete in terms of place names as illustrated in our example when we found pictures of Japan are great but finding were our friends lived was an impossibility. However, this is a free programme. Though there is a further two subscription options for the casual user they seem to offer little benefit and Google promise the programme is being improved upon all the time. If your house is not listed you can sign up for the newsletter which informs of new additions or reviewed pictures and I can only see Google Earth getting better and better my only fear being that this cannot stay a free programme forever.

We use Google Earth as a way of researching places we might like to go, reminiscing on past holidays and even as a router finder. The pictures of the UK are particularly clear so it is nice to use in conjunction with say the AA online planner and track your route or an impending journey. It is great for my children%26#039;s geography homework too particularly since its simplistic, console driven interface means anyone can use it. If all else fails you can always while away the hours trying to find a country without a Mc Donald%26#039;s in it. When I do I am moving there!

I have recently been alerted to googleearthhacks.com. An excellent unofficial Google Earth add-on site with a variety of monuments, add-ons and tweaks available. I have recently downloaded a newer satellite picture of Disneyland, a 3D reconstruction of the pyramids and a weather forecaster that updates to show cloud formations just like on the telly! This site is constantly added to and makes Google Earth an even more expansive experience.

There are volunteers from all over the world checking this all the time to make sure it meets the top standards, and fixes are issued much faster than Internet Explorer. If you see their site, you will be able to see things more in depth, if you don%26#039;t understand them, which being that you are asking this, I have a feeling you don%26#039;t, just realize it is safer, and proven faster to boot.

A "Google Appropriate" blog?
So much for my rant blog. I just read what this adsense thing is all about, and some of my articles contain a more-than-necessary amount of cursing. Well, I want to make some extra cash with adsense, so I need a Google appropriate blog. However, I can%26#039;t think of something that people would want to read. Here are some of the things that I%26#039;m into. Could any of these form a blog that gets a good amount of traffic?

Well, those are my main hobbies. I just don%26#039;t see myself getting 100+ pageviews per day with people wanting to read amateur poetry or learn basic guitar. Am I wrong?

So the moral of this story is... focus on what you like the most and can have the most fun with, let your own unique personality shine, and let word of mouth work its internet magic!

i just met a lot of people that i probably won%26#039;t be able to keep in touch with and i would love to stay in contact with they but it just so happens that my facebook got disabled without a reason. so i have a couple questions...
1) how long will it take for me to get my account back?
2) why do i get emails from facebook about my account if it%26#039;s already been disabled (i got an email saying i got a msg from a friend)

you should an email to facebook developers, there is a contact right there. the reason it may be disabled is either you have been identified as spammer (which is ridiculous, it happened with a friend of mine because she was exchanging too many messages to her friends).. or maybe there was some other reason.
You should write to them, or more easily... log on to http://www.yomacha.com.. its a better place, new but much much better to network and know about your looks

The most common thing that happens is that you would have joined a network which requires any member of that netmork toidentify you and then you can enter that network. If however no one recognises you Facebook disables your account. had it happen to one of my friends.
She wrote a letter to the Facebook team and they gave her account back the same day, exactly as it was.

my cousin has problems connecting to internet. however she can still use msn messenger. nothing else connects to internet. says its been acting up since this morning.

If however, the nothing else is neither browser based, nor non browser software then its probably a developing hardware problem.

And I use wireless internet on my computer in my room with a Compact Wireless-G usb adapter to receive the connection, but every few minutes or so the connection on my computer keep goes on and off like its on for five minutes then goes off for 2 until I repair it to get the connection back.

Weird Laptop Connectivity Problem?
I have a Toshiba laptop computer running windows XP and I use a DSL wire connection to connect to the internet. The connection worked fine for months until today, out of the blue, the computer won%26#039;t connect to the internet. When the internet failed I was visiting sites that I normally visit, nothing unusual or unsafe, and when the connection was lost there was no freeze or crash, it just gave the can%26#039;t connect to the internet message as if the wire had been unplugged.
The problem is not with the ISP or the modem because my PC works fine through the exact same connection. The laptop%26#039;s hardware also seems to be fine because it reports no problems. I attempted a system restore to an earlier date but that hasn%26#039;t solved the problem. I haven%26#039;t downloaded anything suspicious or visited any unsafe sites. Spybot detects no viruses. I recently posted an ad on craigs list for a car stereo. It was answered by a man from the UK who agreed to purchase it immediately. The cost was $75. The next day he had a $700 check delivered to me through UPS. It appeared to be a Wells Fargo cashier%26#039;s check to me but when I took it to the bank to cash it they told me that it was fraudulant. I am furious!!! Good thing the tellers at my bank are up on the latest scams. This guy has to be stopped before he finds someone who isn%26#039;t as fortunate as I am.

well maybe its because on myspace you have to go to edit profile and you can click on song and video and then you do whatever you want on there. but umm yea that is all i can say really but if that isnt what it is tell me nn i can think of another solution to your problem! okay!!!

Nothing will download...?
It started about a week ago my youtube videos stopped loading after 10 to 20 seconds they sit there and just try and buffer and not come out of it the red bar doesnt move any further either ( Hope that makes sense) and now nothing will download either it will start downloading and it will take about 30 seconds and the downloading bar will stop growing and my download will just like freeze. My computer is now also taking forever to open certaing websites.
My computer was really fast before, this one i dont have high speed it is broadband though. I ran spyware and I have nothing I empty my cache all my files everything.
I even tried downloading firefox but the download wouldnt complete! I restored to a earlier point and reversed that because it didnt do anything either! Im hopeless and about to reformat.. any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Go into Task Manager -%26gt; Processes and Google every single process to find out what it is. Some viruses are still shown, but try to disguise themselves in processes. If a suspicious process is found, end it immediately, delete it from autorun (run-%26gt;msconfig, go to autorun and delete it from there) and find the path it came from, then delete it.
If all else fails, a FULL system restore. If this does not fix your problem, something has gone wrong inside your computer.
